In conjunction with Golf Canada, Laurentian University, and the Palladino Auto Group, the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club hosted the Golf Canada University and College Championship from June 2nd to 6th, 2024. As the replacement host club, the Idy ensured the course was in pristine condition, providing a perfect setting for some of the country’s top amateur golfers to compete.

The Golf Canada University / College Championships is Canada’s premier collegiate golf event, bringing together top student-athletes from universities and colleges across the country. Held annually, it provides a high-level competitive platform for players to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience. The championship continues to play a key role in the development of collegiate golf in Canada, helping athletes advance their careers in both golf and academics.

An event this prestigious couldn't take place without the local support of Northern Ontario and it's volunteers. We would like to thank the Laurentian University golf teams and Palladino Auto Group for their contributions in hosting the event, and to Golf Canada for trusting our region with this level of competition.​
