In conjunction with Golf Ontario and the Northern Golf Association, the 2024 Golf Ontario Boys & Girls Juvenile Championship was proudly hosted at the beautiful Hollinger Golf Club from August 19th to 21st. This exciting event brought together some of the province’s most talented young golfers, all competing for the prestigious provincial juvenile title. Despite a brisk week of weather, the championship proved to be an outstanding success, showcasing exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and determination from all participants.

A special thank you goes out to Taylor Dupuis, the club manager, and the entire staff at Hollinger Golf Club for their hospitality and tireless efforts in making the event run smoothly. We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to Owen Rigg, NGA Director and Golf Ontario Regional Manager, for his significant contributions in bringing this championship to the North. His dedication and hard work were integral to the event's success and to the continued growth of youth golf in the region.

 

One of the highlights of the week came when Dawson Lew set a new record, tying for the lowest tournament score ever at the Hollinger with a 65. This incredible performance was a testament to the high level of talent on display and added an exciting chapter to the history of the Golf Ontario Juvenile Championship.

 

We are grateful to everyone who made this event possible and hope that all those who participated enjoyed their time at Hollinger Golf Club. We look forward to continuing to support the development of youth golf in Northern Ontario and to seeing many of these young athletes achieve even greater success in the future.
