In conjunction with Golf Ontario and the Northern Golf Association, North Bay Golf & Country Club proudly hosted the 2024 Golf Ontario Men's Mid-Amateur Championship from July 29th to August 1st. This prestigious event brought together some of the province’s top male amateur golfers over the age of 35, all vying for the provincial championship title.

The success of the event was due in large part to the efforts of the city of North Bay, the dedicated volunteers, and the entire staff at North Bay Golf & Country Club. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Jeff Mancini and his team for their invaluable contributions to ensuring everything ran smoothly. One of the highlights of this year’s championship was the participation of Owen Rigg, NGA Director and Golf Ontario Regional Manager, who not only helped organized the event but also took to the course as a competitor. Owen’s involvement added a personal touch to the championship, reflecting the deep passion and commitment that both Golf Ontario and the Northern Golf Association have for growing the game at all levels.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this event such a memorable success and hope that all participants enjoyed the facilities and warm hospitality of North Bay. We trust that the 2025 Men’s Mid Amateur Championship will continue to stand as a significant milestone in Ontario's amateur golf calendar, and we look forward to future tournaments in the region.
