On November 28, 2018 in Timmins, Golf Ontario and the Northern Golf Association signed an Memorandum of Understanding. The partnership agreement more than ten years in the making was a large step toward growth of golf in the Northern region.

On February 10th, Golf Ontario announced Owen Rigg as Regional Manager of Northern Ontario. Owen has worked with the NGA for the past 15 years, while also serving the Hollinger Golf Club as an advisor. Owen carries a great passion for the game and looks forward to continuing to support development in our region.
On March 15th, Golf Ontario announced Riley Bridge as Regional Assistant of Northern Ontario for the 2023 season. Riley has worked with the Golf Sudbury family for the past 8 years and is excited to help grow the game we love in the North.
