The 2025 Northern Ontario Amateur Championship is set to return to one of the region’s premier golf courses and facilitIes. This year’s event will take place at the Idylwylde Golf & Curling Club on June 7th and 8th.
The amateur championship will feature four divisions
Men’s Amateur, Men’s Mid Amateur (25+), Senior Men's, and U19 Boys.
As an official Golf Ontario qualifier, the event carries significant weight, with top finishers in each division earning spots in their respective provincial championships.
Last year’s championship was held at Huron Pines Golf Club in Blind River and saw impressive performances across all divisions. Jacob Lakco captured the Amateur title, while Ryan Hagger claimed victory in the Mid-Amateur division. Dennis Audette topped the field in the Senior division, and Brody Dagenais took home the Junior championship.
With the move to Idylwylde in 2025, players can expect a fresh test and a new challenge on a course that has hosted some of Canada’s top amateur and professional events.
